For those keen fishermen amongst us take a stroll across the road and spend a couple of hours catching a nice meal of whiting or flathead.
Or for those keen enough, walk down the Esplanade and out to the end of the Urangan Pier to where the deep water channel is for some bigger fish!
A simple stroll along the beach can often result in dugong and dolphin sightings and if you're really lucky during the whale season sometimes a pod of whales can even be spotted frolicking a bit further out.
